Help us Plan a Safe Inaugural Gathering
Last week, we announced that the first Annual Gathering for San Diego County Food Vision 2030 will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, fully outdoors, at the beautiful Coastal Roots Farm in Encinitas.
We’ve been cautiously hopeful that we can hold this event in person, as we believe sharing physical space—if we can do so safely—is powerful and connecting.
Our team has been closely monitoring the status of COVID-19 and designing every detail of the Gathering in careful accordance with CDC guidelines and California Department of Health recommendations—including the layout of the venue, placement of facilities, availability of masks and hand sanitizer, requirements of attendees, style of food and beverage service, and more.
That said, we want to learn from our attendees about what you would like to see in place at the Gathering, in order to feel most comfortable participating.
If you plan to participate in the Annual Gathering this fall, please take 10 seconds to answer the following poll to the best of your ability.
Clicking one of the choices will open a page to hit "submit."
As an attendee of the Annual Gathering...
I would be comfortable gathering outdoors, with restrictions in place.
I would be comfortable participating in a virtual event only.

We are grateful for your feedback and will weigh it heavily when considering our next steps in planning the Annual Gathering.
Of course, if we choose to move forward with gathering outdoors, our team will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19, create contingency plans, and make adjustments as things change.
We are dedicated to designing an inspiring and inclusive space for our community, and most of all, ensuring that gathering is done safely.
No matter the ultimate setting, we look forward to coming together with all of you this fall, to nurture the movement for transforming our food system.
Be well,
San Diego Food System Alliance
