Our Commitment to Health & Safety at the Inaugural Gathering during COVID-19

Sharing physical space is powerful and connecting, and we are cautiously hopeful that we can hold this event in person. That said, we are committed to keeping everyone healthy and safe above all at the Inaugural Gathering for Food Vision 2030 this October.

Our team is monitoring the status of COVID-19 and designing designing every detail of the Gathering in careful accordance with CDC guidelines and California Department of Health recommendations—including the layout of the venue, placement of facilities, availability of masks and hand sanitizer, requirements of attendees, style of food and beverage service, and more. We will continue to make adjustments as the COVID-19 situation evolves.

In previous communications, we shared that the Inaugural Gathering would take place at Liberty Station Conference Center; however, we have since moved it to Leichtag Commons to ensure that the event can take place fully outdoors.

In addition to taking these precautions, we are asking that every attendee agree to the following Agreements during registration:

COVID-19 Agreements

Every attendee's participation is subject to their compliance with Leichtag Commons' and the San Diego Food System Alliance’s agreements, policies, and procedures to implement prevailing COVID-19 safety guidelines.

We ask that attendees do their part to keep everyone safe by:

  • Being vaccinated against COVID-19

  • Properly wearing a mask over your nose and mouth, except when eating or drinking

  • Staying home if you feel sick or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19

  • Contacting the event organizers (rachel@sdfsa.org) immediately if you start to feel sick during or up to 14 days after the Annual Gathering

Your health, well-being, and comfort are our highest priority as we plan and design the Annual Gathering. The pandemic is ever evolving, and we continue to make adjustments.

We thank everyone for your cooperation and commitment to keeping each other safe. If you have questions about these Agreements or how we are designing the event, please reach out to info@sdfsa.org.
