Case Study: Reducing Wasted Food at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront
The Hilton San Diego Bayfront, a 1,190-room luxury hotel on the city’s waterfront, had been tracking food waste through participation in the Alliance’s program Smart Kitchens San Diego for only six months when it saw a dramatic reduction in food waste: a 55% drop in waste by weight, and over 4,412 meals recovered through food donation.
