MEHKO Applications to Kick Off on February 25

Starting this Friday, February 25, 2022, the County Department of Health and Quality (DEHQ) will start to accept MEHKO applications and work with home cooks to review their standard operating procedures and menus to ensure compliance with the California Retail Food Code.

As part of the start of this program, they will be hosting an in-person kickoff event from 8:00am-12:00pm at the County Operation Center, located at 5500 Overland Ave, San Diego, CA 92123.

The SD MEHKO Coalition will be there to welcome you! There will also be additional County staff on hand to process applications and help answer any questions you may have on your MEHKO application or the MEHKO program. During the event, County staff will be available to assist you in English, Arabic, Filipino, Mandarin, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
