In 2022, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to support the first MEHKO permitting pilot program in the state. Now legal micro enterprise kitchens are allowed in San Diego County. To date, there have been over 40 MEHKOs since the program started. We will continue to work with partners to return to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in early 2023 to ensure this program becomes permanent.
