Job Description
The San Diego Food System Alliance is seeking an Events & Operations Coordinator who can support the Alliance with hosting community events, coordinating meeting logistics, and representing the Alliance at external events. This position will report to the Community Building & Partnerships Director and serve as a critical partner in holding thoughtful and safe spaces for community leaders across the food system.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the local food system and is deeply rooted in their community, bringing new perspectives, and ideas to the table. This role requires a high level of organization and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with event planning, facilitating meetings, or project management would be an ideal fit for this role. The candidate will also manage Alliance community pages and should be very comfortable navigating technology and social media. We are looking for a person who is creative, thoughtful, and community rooted, yet also organized, self motivated, and a problem solver.
